Employee engagement has been an area of increasing interest in both organisations and to academic researchers. There have been over 58,600 peer-reviewed research papers published on this topic alone, with over 14,700 peer-reviewed research papers published in 2016 and more than 23,600 published this year (2017) about employee engagement.
