Research Briefing

Keywords: video, educational video, instructional video, training video, learning and development, organisational learning, learning

Educational or instructional video is being used more and more frequently in organisational learning scenarios. However, recent advances in internet and online technology has meant that there has been an explosion in the use of video and ‘online’ courses over the last 10 to 15 years.

The new literary review looking at the latest research into the educational use of video has just been published by a group of researchers in the UK and the US looking at the impact video has on student learning, student engagement and the development of critical thinking.
